Douglas Lowell Foster passed away June 20th, 2021. He was the son of the late Lorenzo Foster, Jr., and Junita Williams-Foster. Doug grew up in Covington, KY and was an avid hunter and fisherman but his favorite past-time was being “Pawpaw” to his three adoring grandchildren. He joined the United States Army in 1981 and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 81st Field Artillery (Pershing) and was very proud to be a crewman supporting the Pershing II missle. He was awarded the Army Commendation medal for his efforts in leading his crew to several perfect countdowns during evaluations and test launches.

1981 was also the year that he married the love of his life Suzette White. In 1985 Doug began his career at Premier Ink Systems. He spent the last 35 and 1/2 years at Premier formulating printing inks that enhance the appearance and performance of many products we all use daily.

In addition to the pride and aptitude he demonstrated launching ballistic missiles and formulating printing ink, his greatest accolades came from family and friends for his skill in front of the grill! Every warm season holiday and many random Saturdays or Sundays in-between, “Uncle Dougie’s house was the place to be for everyone who craved his famous rib tips. We are all going to miss that smoke for sure....

Doug was preceded in death by his father Lorenzo Foster Jr., Father-in-law L.C. White, Mother-in-law Marcia Stonestreet, Brothers-in-law Heath White and Gilbert Gatewood and beloved grand-niece Madison Foster.

Left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife of 39 years Suzette, loving mother Junita Foster, son Douglas, daughter Domonique, grandchildren Xaria, Xarion, and Camauri. Step-mother-in-law Lurlene White; aunts Eloise Daniels, Cheryl (Joseph) Johnson, Lavinia (Phillip) Cox; uncles Leonard (Doris) Foster and Wayne Foster; sister Karen Bell, brother Mark Foster, sister Valerie Foster, brother Scott Foster, sisters-in-law Carla (Gilbert) Gatewood,  Vanessa Greene, Margie (Kenny) White, Jacqueline White, Anna (Scott) Wilson, Lisa Williams, and Karen (Charles) Colbert; brothers-in-law Jonathan Greene, Darwin “A.B.” Green, Dorrian “B.B.” Green, Christopher (Sheila) White, and Kevin (Dorothy) White; a great many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved-ones too numerous to list; life-long family friends Barbara Phipps and Mark Phipps;  dear family friend Macy Sullivan and last but most certainly not least, his amazing work family at Premier Ink Systems.
